Bloxham's Last Train It is almost 50 years since the last passenger train called at Bloxham Station (where the Brookside estate is now situated). Among present residents, Peter Barwell, then a schoolboy, was a passenger on 2 June 1951. the goods service lasted for another 11 years and in 1964 the station was demolished. if any older villagers have memories of the station, its personalities and its trains, which they would be willing to share, would they kindly contact Alan Donaldson, at High House, High Street, Bloxham on 01295 721801. |
