Bloxham Table Tennis Club

Bloxham Table Tennis Club has been in existence since October 1938 when three tables were donated to the Ex-Servicemen's Village Hall. In those days the club was open on Mondays and Thursdays from 6.30 to 9.30pm, and it's not much different today. There is a club night every Tuesday with a junior coaching session from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and this is followed by a senior practice session until the hall closes. Thursdays, during the season , are taken up with league matches.

The club is always looking for new members, of all age groups, and there is the opportunity to play at all levels. The club has four teams in the Banbury League and over the years there has been success in all the divisions and at the annual league tournaments. Many of the junior members have been included in county teams and have achieved success at national level before moving away to follow careers in other parts of the country.

The club also holds a very successful tournament at the end of each season.

If you are keen to play and would like to know more, please contact the club chairman, Jim Jackson, who also looks after the coaching, on 01295 721220, or the club administrator, Larry Sims, on 01295 720414.
